| Item | Condition and Comments |
| BOATS | |
| Seine Boat “Amie” | Moored on Kingswear Pontoon. |
| Seine Boat “Nancy Tarran” | In Dartmouth Boat Float. |
| Seine Boat “Morwenna Grace” | Stored on Boathouse Pontoon. Needs refurbishment: Hull needs some small fibreglass repairs & rubbing strip repair. Woodwork to be refurbished. Morwenna’s rudder is identifiable by metal strap on the crossbar and blue steering lines. |
| 2 x Dart 440s | One in Dartmouth boat float, other on Boathouse Pontoon. Hulls look in good condition. Wooden gunwhales need sanding & varnishing (one boat is in better condition than than the other) – The rudders for these are of a darker coloured wood than Morwenna and Tommy’s. |
| Rowing boat Thomas of Kingswear (“Tommy”) | Stored on Boathouse Pontoon. To be sold. Previously used both with outboard and with oars, as a rescue boat for junior rowing. Doesn’t row very well, suggestion is to dispose of it. Estimated value maybe £400-500 in current condition, £1-2k if refurbished. |
| 2 x Ergos | In village Hall. Are they used? |
| OARS | |
| 5 x Sutton made wooden oars | Four in use on Dartmouth side, 5th is in boathouse as a spare. Needed 5 oars for the Great River Race. Need to have Red & Black markings added to identify them as RDRC property. |
| 4 x Seine boat wooden oars | In use on Kingswear side. Would benefit from varnishing. |
| 4 x Seine boat wooden oars (Red & Black markings on shaft near blade) | 1 x OK 1 x Split handle – simple repair 1 x Split blade – looks repairable 1 x Cracked at gate on compression side – may be repairable (scarf in new wood) |
| 4 x Seine boat wooden oars (Light blue blade tip) | Light springy oars 1 x replace sleeve 1 x repair handle 1 x repair blade 1 x repair half way down shaft |
| 4 x Seine boat wooden oars (all white blades, dark blue shaft near blades) | 2 x OK 1 x split shaft (looks repairable) 1 x minor handle split, plus repair on shaft |
| 3 x Seine boat wooden oars (very light blue blades with dark blue blade tips) | 2 x OK 1 x chip & crack in blade – may be repairable) (4th oar of this set is beyond repair) |
| 4 x lightweight wooden oars (for Dart 440s) | In good condition, a little bare wood showing, Would benefit from varnishing. |
| 2 x flat blade wooden oars (for Tommy) | Can go with the boat, no use to us otherwise. |
| 3 x Fibreglass shaft oars with asymmetric blades | Ken got hold of these for free. The three in the boathouse are in one piece, but there are doubts as to how sound the wooden handles are. Ken has the fourth, it has a broken wooden handle. He also has a further four that would need cutting down to a suitable length for the Seine boats. They were not popular with the Tuesday Kingswear crew, doubtful if they are worth any effort to repair. |
| A few odd single oars | Doubtful if they are any use. Maybe good as material for repairs? |
| LIFEJACKETS | |
| 8 x Adult inflatable lifejackets | Generally good condition, a few are a bit mouldy. Need cleaning & servicing before use. Some, if not all, are self-inflating. |
| 10 x Junior inflatable lifejackets | Generally good condition, a few are a bit mouldy. Need cleaning & servicing before use. Some, if not all, are self-inflating. |
