Seine Boat – Nancy Tarran

Seine boat ‘Nancy Tarran’ – named after a Kingswear heroine. A strong oarswoman and second in command of the gig that went out to recover the Atlanta during a storm in November 1824.

Seine Boat – Amie

You’ll see Amie out on the River Dart regularly. She was named after her previous owner’s daughter and we kept her name. She has had a splendid career with the club and is a veteran of the Great London River Race.

Seine Boat – Morwenna Grace

Morwenna Grace is our third Seine Boat. She was previously owned by the marina – marina meaning ‘of the sea’. This inspired the name ‘Morwenna’, a Cornish name meaning ‘sea wave’ or ‘maiden’ and Grace meaning ‘blessing’ or ‘charm’. We think it’s a very fitting name for her! She is also a veteran of the Great London River Race and the Ocean to City Race in Cork.

440 – Dart

This is ‘Dart’. A 440 boat. She’s named after the pilot gig from Dartmouth involved in the rescue of the ‘Atlanta’ in 1864. She lost the race to the pilot gig from Kingswear, ‘Fly’.

Coastal Rower – EXM21

Our coastal quad is the newest member of our boat family and was kindly gifted to us from Exmouth Rowing Club in 2025. We are very much looking forward to developing this branch of our club. She is the only club owned boat of her type on the river.
